Travel and Trips

Weekend trip to Stonehenge and Salisbury.

Weekend Trips

Our students have classes Monday to Thursday and enjoy trips around the country Friday to Sunday. Great Britain has so much to offer and we want our students to experience as much of it as possible. Students can sign up for the trips they want to go on at no additional cost.

Ever fancied a day trip to Bath, Cardiff or Brighton? Perhaps an afternoon at Kenilworth Castle? Cream tea at Warwick Castle? And of course, there’s always Stonehenge.

The College also offers long weekend trips to France (Paris), and Scotland (Edinburgh). Scale the Eiffel Tower in Paris, or perhaps climb up to Arthur’s Seat and watch the sunrise in Edinburgh. There’s no reason you can’t do both!

Academic Travel

The College runs a range of external trips which are integral to the academic programme.

Our theatre students watch various shows including productions at the Globe Theatre in London and the Royal Shakespeare Theatre in Stratford-upon-Avon.

Our Politics students enjoy an in-depth tour of the Houses of Parliament and meet with sitting MPs and members of the House of Lords.

Our Art students visit a number of art galleries including the Ashmolean, Christ Church Picture Gallery, the National Gallery, the Wallace Collection, Tate Britain and Kettles Yard

Our History students visit the Ironbridge Gorge Museum, home of the first major bridge in the world to be made out of cast iron and a symbol of the Industrial Revolution. Our History students also visit the Black Country Living Museum, where they learn what life was like in industrial Britain.

Our Global Issues students visit a working farm and learn about organic and sustainable farming in the 21st Century.

Travel Break

Travel Break is an integral part of the Wroxton Experience. Halfway through the semester, our students have the chance to take a well-earned break from their studies. Many of our students travel into Europe. Italy, Spain and the Netherlands are three favourite destinations. Some students decide to stay closer to home, exploring the towns and cities of Great Britain. Whatever you choose, it’s your travel break, it’s entirely up to you! Wherever you go, it’ll be an unforgettable experience
